For the 2017 edition, la murrina spa’s flagship collection, L’Amour, is growing with two new lines namely Eva designed by Federico Visani and Belle Époque designed by Adriana Lohmann.
L’AMOUR
It is a new way of understanding Murano blown glass and its very own evocative and decorative essence.
From a thousand reflections, from the purest transparency to the most intense and sensual colours, the bright and precious glass reflects perceptions, emotions and allusions better than any other material.
L’Amour is a unique six-line collection which timeless artistic creations are dedicated to love and passion.
Hence, the Murano’s glassworker masters gave evocative names to the six lines they created capturing the ever magic of their work. Jardin de Verre designed by Alessandro La Spada, Sicily designed by Roberto Serio, Ballroom designed by Samuele Mazza, Phyton designed by Alessandro La Spada and the latests Eva designed by Federico Vicani and Belle Époque designed by Adriana Lohmann.
Eva designed by Federico Visani
A flower born from a tear.
According to the myth, the calla lily flower known for its particular beauty and whiteness originates from the Garden of Eden. The tears of Eva who was banished from Eden because she disobeyed, fall down on earth and gave live to the beautiful flower. For this collection, Federico Visani looked at the movement of the first woman’s falling tear and at the world’s first colour that is green.
The path of the falling drops that will become a stele is drawn by the elegant and curvy lines. From each drop a calla lily grows facing the sun for the lost light.
The skilled glass-worker masters of la murrina turned a chandelier and a lamp into an elegant and pure masterpiece.
Eva also refers to a contemporary woman, curious to learn, to discover and to become eternal. Hence, new technologies are exploited. For instance, a 3D printer produces the corollas in natural fibre according to ecological issues.
Eva collection is available in green or blue glass and in green, gold or silver metal.
Belle Époque designed by Adriana Lohmann
It was a dynamic time for innovations and positivity. Life was beautiful and intense on the art’s stage since all aspects of society were depicted.
Art and fashion were characterised by a pronounced decorative taste that one could observe in the delicateness of the embracing and dynamic line.
This renewing energy requires a stylistic approach to fit the contemporary furniture trends which aims at adapting past icons to the future.
The collection designed by Adriana Lohmann for la murrina is named after the inspiring features of Belle Époque.
The Belle Époque is not about a static product that is part of history. Conversely the collection crosses periods, designs and fashions, including vintage touches with contemporary and minimalist design.
The all shapes and sizes lamp collections made in precious Murano glass are quite eclectic.
The geometric forms softened by blunted angles and a pattern in relief combines together thanks to a bracelet in hammered metal. Not only are they essential but they are also refined elements. It results a chandelier with as much nineteenth-century as modern features.
Belle Époque is all about luxury with no compromise.
la murrina spa’s products are such a great example of the “made in Murano” that the company is an ambassador for the Italian luxurious style.
